What do you mean by “on location?
On location photography sessions gives us endless possibilities for the type of photographs you’re hoping for. My goal as your photographer is for you to be relaxed and comfortable – a certain location can set the mood and reflect who you are. We can shoot your session at your home or we can head outdoors to your favorite spot in your favorite park. Downtown Louisville has become a favorite of mine, so if you’re into exploring alleys and buildings, let’s take a walk!
What should I expect at our session?
Just as every person is different, each session is different. We’ll spend about an hour together, walk the grounds of the location you’ve chosen and enjoy each others’ company. I want you and your loved ones feel like themselves — if you’re comfortable and having fun, the best pieces of you will shine through.
With couple and family shoots, we’ll work together to create wonderful portraits. I want you to have fun, shake out your hair, tell lame jokes, act like I’m not there – your images will be a glimpse of how the rest of the world sees you together. With the kiddos, we’ll make it undemanding and upbeat. Don’t be surprised if we play a game or take frequent breaks to let loose.
Newborn and baby sessions are bit different. I encourage indoor shoots, as it’s a familiar environment, and photograph you with your child doing the things you usually do. The rocking chair sessions, all the cuddles and kisses, even play time with older babes. We’ll be able to document these fleeting moments with one of a kind images of your new life together.
“Just Because” sessions are meant to be full of fun and for no reason at all. A session can be with your best friends, your favorite pup or even just you in some killer shoes. Anything goes… just because.
You say 30+ images will be on my CD, but I know you take more than that. Do I get to see them all and help you choose which pictures I get?
I take several frames during our session because I don’t want to miss a thing, but only 30-50 will be on the disc you receive. I take the time to review all of the images and based on several factors, select the best photos for you. As a photographer, I want to present my clients with beautiful images and best presentation of my work and style. I always make sure your photographs are clear and focused, the light in the image is the most appealing and the composition of the photo seems authentic.
When will my pictures be ready?
About three weeks from the date of our session. You’ll be able to sneak a peek on my blog or Facebook page (as I can’t keep things to myself). And a private gallery will be set for easy viewing and sharing. But a high resolution disc of images will be delivered to you shortly thereafter.
Do I get the copyrights to my pictures?
All sessions include a high resolution disc of the final images and will be provided with a reproduction release for personal use. This allows you to print and distribute your pictures with no worries. However, the images remain the property of Shutterboo Photography. But I also have a recommended printer that provides great professional products!
Do you post process my pictures?
Of course! Each image you’ll receive is color corrected, adjusted and retouched to enhance the final photograph. Your prints will be wonderful additions to your memory books and the walls of your home. If you’re looking for specialty products like print wraps, framed and matted prints or keepsake printed books, let me know. There are a number of specialty products available to make your photographs one of a kind.
